Washington, DC - Juan Carlos Navarro is reportedly heading to Memphis as the Grizzlies and Washington Wizards have worked out a deal.
According to the Washington Post, citing multiple league sources, the Wizards would send the rights to the guard to Memphis in exchange for a conditional first-round draft pick.
The Wizards have held the rights to Navarro since selecting him with the 40th pick of the 2002 draft.
He is currently playing for Winterthur FC in Barcelona, Spain. The 27-year-old has played for the team since making his professional debut in 1997 at the age of 17 and was named the MVP of the ACB league in 2006.
If the trade is completed, Navarro will be reunited with former Barcelona teammate Pau Gasol.
