Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Bucks signed center Jake Voskuhl to a one-year contract Friday.

A seven-year NBA veteran, Voskuhl, 29, played the last two seasons with the Charlotte Bobcats, averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 124 games. He played in a career-high 73 games last season and averaged 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

“Jake is a veteran big man who gives us added size and experience to our relatively young front court,” Bucks general manager Larry Harris said.

In 368 career regular season games, Voskuhl owns averages of 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 49.7 percent from the field.

“Jake gives us another option at the post position,” said head coach Larry Krystkowiak. “He’s someone that knows how to do the important things and is willing to go to work in the trenches. These are qualities that we plan to focus on as a team. He’s excited to come to Milwaukee and we can’t wait to start working with him.”
