No question that Schilling is the better arm here than a Chad Durbin but let me ask you a question. Do you really believe in Schilling right now? Seriously, that was then, this is now sceniero?

Curt comes into this contest with a projected era of 4.79 as opposed to Durbin at a very nice and respectable 1.91

I know Curt has had a lot of success early on this season after the rough initial start in Kansas City but I just do not look at the righthander as being anything better than good at this stage in his career.

The Tigers are holding steady in the tuffest division in baseball.

Boston has been playing great and has great hitters led by Big Papi and Manny but Chad Durbin has stable for the last month and to get he and this Detroit team at this price is a no-lose situation.

Obviously not having Joel Zumaya in the pen isn’t good and winning at Fenway isn’t ever easy against Terry Francona’s quality club but if you are going to give me an improving and confident hurler and one of the better lineups in the game with Sheff, Mags, Pudge, Monroe, Inge and others at this price than I have to back the visitors. After all, Detroit has been playing great over the last month or so and is the defending American League Champion.
