Will Paris Get a Pardon? Bet On Paris Behind Bars

May 9th, 2007 · No Comments

Paris Oiled Up

Shame on the Hilton family. Paris Hilton has been sentenced to jail for a second drunk driving offense. Now she is asking her fans to write the Governor of California, requesting that the party girl get a pardon.

Paris fails to realize that American society clearly cannot stand the fact that celebrities seem to get off so easily for crimes that others would serve significant time for. A second drunk driving offense? Paris could have killed someone. But who cares about that?

The good news is we can actually bet on Paris Hilton and how she turns out after jail time (assuming of course she serves any time). Bet33.com (see website here) is offering the odds on Paris Hilton.

What is in store for Paris Hilton before Dec 31st, 2007

She’ll be charged with driving drunk again +200

Paris will be caught with a controlled substance +300

She wil become a brain surgeon +20000

Any wagers placed after the outcome becomes of public knowledge will be void.

Outcome of Paris Hilton stint in jail?

Paris will announce that jail is - Hot +500

She’ll have her sentence extended for bad behavior +5000

Jazz, Warriors Early Payout Odds A Bookie Buster

May 9th, 2007 · No Comments

Utah Jazz Playoff Game

At 75 to 1 early odds of winning the 2007 NBA Championship, respectively, the Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors now have a legitimate shot. Both are battling each other in the Western Conference Semi-finals, which guarantees that one of these teams will be playing in the Western Conference Finals against either the San Antonio Spurs or Phoenix Suns.

The payout for those who bet early on should one of these two teams go all the way? $7500 for every $100 bet. A $1000 wager would pay out $75000!

Of course those odds are long gone at places like Bet33.com (see website here) which still offer matchup odds for select NBA Playoffs games with a matching $100 bonus with your first $100 deposit + 20% cash signup bonus. Plus they pick up the fees if you send money gram. For more info call 1-877-482-6948

“The Jazz were good from day one of this season, but the Warriors beating Dallas? A very good Dallas team I might add. One of these teams could cause us to take it on the chin” said Zack Williams, who is the owner and operator of Bet33.com here in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Utah out-rebounded the Warriors 54-36, pulling down 20 on offense to overcome the Warriors’ frantic attack while rallying to win at the end.

“We’ve always been a pretty good offensive rebounding team if we take decent shots and get our big people inside on the shots,” Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. “It certainly worked that way tonight.”

Boozer had 17 points to go with his 20 rebounds, Deron Williams finished with 31 points and eight assists and Andrei Kirilenko blocked seven shots for the Jazz, who will host Game 2 on Wednesday night.

The Jazz were playing just two nights after beating Houston in Game 7 of the first round and had enough stamina to outlast the Warriors.

“We just played hard,” Williams said. “We didn’t play our best game by any means.”

On May 3, 2007, the Warriors, led by Jackson’s game-high 33 points, obtained their fourth win against the Dallas Mavericks, becoming the first #8 seed to beat a #1 seed in a seven-game series in what was arguably the biggest series upset in NBA Playoff history. Coincidentally, the last time that the Warriors were in the playoffs, the Denver Nuggets became the first 8-seed to ever advance into the second round. After battling through a contested first half that saw them take a two-point lead into halftime, the Warriors came out on fire in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavs 36-15, and ultimately won in a blowout, 111–86.

It was the Warriors’ first playoff series win in 16 years, and their first 7 game series win since 1976. With this series win, the Golden State Warriors became the first eight-seed to defeat a one-seed without going to the series maximum amount of games. The Warriors went on to play the Utah Jazz in the second round of the 2006-2007 playoffs.

OJ’s Attorney Claims

May 9th, 2007 · No Comments

OJ meets Jason Kentucky Derby Incident

The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville refused to serve former NFL star OJ Simpson this weekend. Simpson and his group left quietly but his attorney, Yale Galanter, said the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant’s liquor license.

“I didn’t want to serve him because of my convictions of what he’s done to those families,” Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. “The way he continues to torture the lives of those families … with his behavior, attitude and conduct.”

Simpson, an NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner, was found innocent in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman but was found liable in a civil trial that followed. The OJ Simpson trial remains one of the biggest trials of the century.

The verdict was seen live on TV by more than half the U.S. population, making it one of the most watched events in American TV history. There has been significant criticism of the prosecution and the police, and many contend that Simpson would have been found guilty had there not been so many mistakes and irregularities made by the prosecution and the police investigation of the case. Conversely, the jury has fallen under criticism for their ruling as well as the defense team for their courtroom tactics. Immediate reaction to the verdict was noted for its division along racial lines.

Prior to being told he would not be served at the posh steakhouse, Simpson was seen mingling with fashionable ladies and greeting well wishers at the Kentucky Derby.

Owner Jeff Ruby told INSIDE EDITION the sight of Simpson getting this kind of welcome in his restaurant turned his stomach.

“I asked him to leave and we immediately seated Michael Jordan at his table,” Ruby said.

Ruby said the steakhouse was crowded with diners who gave him a standing ovation for telling Simpson and his party of 12 to leave. “By the morning I had emails from across the country commending me for the convictions I had for doing the right thing,” Ruby said.

For Wednesday TAKE THE A’s-140 in Kansas City tonight.

Gil Meche is turning out to be a very solid signing by the Royals but he is still no Dan Haren and the A’s are clearly the better of these two teams. Kansas City is not as bad as many think as DeJesus, Teahen, Sweeney and others are not terrible but they are ice cold and the visitors are still the better of these two clubs.

Haren has really been coming into his own and is becoming a bona fide ace right now. It’s turning out that the Cardinals were the team who screwed up in that trade a few years ago even if it looked to be lopsided originally the other way with Mark Mulder going to the Redbirds.

Oakland has the better everything in this matchup tonight and that includes the bullpens where we get Justin Duscherer and Houston Street and they have mediocre relievers at the very best.

The Royals will win some games at home and this could be one of them as the A’s are not world beaters but KC was destroyed at home by the Tigers and then was bombed last night by Oakland. Eric Chavez, Bobby Crosby and the A’s are too cheap tonight to pass up, period!

BET the A’S right now at -140 tonight
